Streamlined planning

The planning system for social and affordable housing development approval has been streamlined. The streamlined processes will speed up planning without compromising planning and built form outcomes.

Clause 52.20 - Victoria's Big Housing Build facilitates the use and development of land for housing projects funded by Victoria’s Big Housing Build program.

Clause 53.20 - Housing by or on behalf of Homes Victoria facilitates the development of social and affordable housing in a residential zone by or on behalf of Homes Victoria.

Clause 53.23 - significant residential development with affordable housing  facilitates the development of social and affordable housing.
