Residents have moved into eight new homes in Shepparton in Victoria’s north.
These homes were built to help people affected by the 2022 floods in regional Victoria.
The all-electric homes feature sustainable elements like solar panels, rainwater tanks, and reverse cycle air conditioning, providing a comfortable and eco-friendly living space.
The new homes are located near important services such as schools, shops, and public transport, making them a convenient choice for residents.
Residents Belinda and Jeffrey recently moved into two the new homes and are enjoying their new homes and the sense of community.
“I live with my son and our new home is helping to get our life back on track after the floods,” Jeffrey said.
“My home is very comfortable and being able to have my dog with me is everything,” Belinda said.

This Regional Housing Fund project is part of a larger plan to deliver 70 homes across the region to support flood recovery. More homes are set to be built in the coming months.
The project was made possible through a partnership with Beyond Housing, which is helping to rebuild and provide safe, affordable housing for those impacted by the floods.
