Help shape the future of Flemington
Posted on: 02/12/2024 - 9:00am

We’re delivering more and better social housing at 12 Holland Court and 120 Racecourse Road, Flemington. The new homes will be modern, accessible, and energy efficient, in a location that is close to shops, parks, transport, and services.
We want to hear from local renters and communities about what is important to you. Your ideas and feedback will help shape designs and plans for the site and ensure that the new homes are a great place to live.

Community Consultative Committees
We’re establishing a Flemington Community Consultative Committee (CCC). It will bring together renters and community members to work together to give advice to Homes Victoria on the redevelopments. If you’d like to be involved, please complete the expression of interest (EOI) form on our website by Tuesday 31 December.
About these projects
As part of Victoria’s Big Housing Build, we are retiring and redeveloping Melbourne’s 44 older social housing towers to give more Victorians access to modern, accessible, and energy-efficient homes, as well as better designed community facilities for everyone.
The redevelopments of 12 Holland Court and 120 Racecourse Road, Flemington are due for completion in 2031.
Renters will have dedicated support to relocate from their home and remain close by or choose a different neighbourhood in Victoria. This will enable the redevelopment of these high-rise buildings to build more and better homes.
When the new social housing is completed, relocated renters will have a right of return to the neighbourhood based on their ongoing needs, eligibility and suitability of new homes. Renters can also choose to stay in homes they have relocated to if that suits better at the time.
