New services guide to support Flemington Public housing residents

New services guide to support Flemington Public housing residents

The Paving the Way Forward initiative has recently published a new online resource for residents of the Flemington estate.

The Flemington Services guide is designed to facilitate connections between residents and essential services and covers areas such as health and wellbeing, education and employment and other family support services.

Established in early 2021, the Paving the Way Forward initiative supports and work alongside the residents of the Flemington and North Melbourne public housing estates as well as government and delivery partners.

Its goal is to ensure residents’ views and ideas are included in the decisions affecting their homes, neighbourhoods and services.

The initiative offers a range of programs, including employment pathways and targeted funding for community organisation.

Additionally, it is actively working to incorporate the voices of those with lived experience into the recruitment panels.
