1. Inspect

You will have an opportunity to inspect the property before you apply. Inspection dates will be shown on the application platform.

2. Apply online

Apply online to enter a ballot for that property. In a ballot, the successful applicants are chosen randomly from a list. In this way, all eligible applicants will have an equal chance of being offered an affordable home.

Applicants will need to enter all details of people who will live in the home, even if they only live at the home part time.

3. Verify application

If you are successfully drawn from the ballot, you must provide the below within 2 days:

  • proof of income
  • 100 points of identification
  • referee details
  • proof that all household members are Australian citizens or have Australian residency
  • proof all household members are Victorian residents
  • proof that household members do not own property.

Following verification, you will be invited to inspect the home prior to being offered a lease.

4. Move in

The tenancy manager will contact you if your application is successful.

Once you accept the home, you will need to:

  • sign the new lease
  • pay 2 weeks rent in advance
  • pay bond.
