Paris left home at a young age, moving from place to place for years, never finding somewhere to call home.
Now Paris has long-term support and accommodation for up to four years to help her find her feet and pursue her passions for the future.
Paris is one of six young people to have recently moved into a brand-new home in Melbourne’s west as part of a Melbourne City Mission and Homes Victoria partnership, to provide stable and secure housing with on-site support.
The initiative is one of ten projects across the state with housing and homelessness providers that will provide more than 130 extra places for young people like Paris who need stable housing and support.
“It’s nice to know I have somewhere to come back to,” said Paris.
“I feel like I’ve been able to find myself again. Maybe finding myself for the first time”.
Paris hopes to get into study and has a passion for music. Thanks to this youth housing initiative, her future is bright.
